What is Bowl For Kids' Sake?
Bowl for Kids' Sake is an important fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region and a fun bowling party for the community.

Before the Bowling Party: Friends, colleagues and family members form Bowl for Kids' Sake Teams, and ask others to sponsor their participation with donations. Teams are comprised of four to five Bowlers and raise a minimum of $300 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.

At the Bowling Party: Teams enjoy Bowl for Kids' Sake FUN – free bowling, refreshments, prizes, team photos, games and give-a-ways!

After the Bowling Party: All donations are acknowledged by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. Big Brothers Big Sisters will bill all donations of $25 or greater.

All funds raised through the 2011 Bowl for Kids' Sake will provide more local kids with mentoring relationships that are proven to help them succeed in school, avoid harmful behaviors, and reach their full potential.

When is Bowl For Kids’ Sake held?

Who Can Participate?
Everyone! Bowl For Kids’ Sake is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Individuals and groups representing companies, schools, clubs, professional and civic organizations not to mention friends and family members all create teams and participate in Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Create your Team today!

How Do Bowlers Register for the 2011 Bowl for Kids’ Sake online?
Go to the register to bowl section and complete the online process. Once the registration is complete, a confirmation email receipt will be sent to the Bowler to confirm participation.

What does the Bowler HQ site feature?
The bowler hq allows registered Bowlers to manage all Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign activities online! Email potential donors, receive updates regarding new sponsorships, send reminder and thank you emails and more!

In addition to obtaining donations online, download the pledge form and carry it at all times for collecting donations from colleagues, friends, neighbors, family members. Remember, no amount is too small... every dollar counts.

Team Captains, use the bowler hq as a tool for measuring your Team’s fundraising accomplishments. Set a personal goal for each Bowler and follow-up on a regular basis to ensure that each Bowler is working toward that goal.

Can people make donations to a specific Bowler online?
Yes. Colleagues, friends neighbors, and family members can sponsor a bowler. Once the registered Bowler’s name is entered, the donor will be directed to the Bowler's personalized pledge page.

Can Big Brothers Big Sisters Bill a Sponsor for a Donation?
If the sponsor prefers not to use a credit card, Big Brothers Big Sisters can send a bill to anyone pledging $25 or more. Be certain to provide complete address information.

What if the bowler wants to use the paper pledge form instead of, or in addition to, the online method?
If the bowler uses a paper pledge form, it is his/her responsibility to collect the pledges and return them to Big Brothers Big Sisters at the BFKS event (or we can send you a single bill for any amount not yet collected by March 31, 2011).

Are Prizes Awarded for Participation? Yes! Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region truly appreciates your support and each participant will be awarded an official 2011 Bowl for Kids’ Sake t-shirt. Additional prizes will be awarded - click here for complete prize list. Big Brothers Big Sisters will count all donations collected through March 31, 2011. At that time, prizes will be given to based on money collected not raised.
